Thu Thiem New Urban Area Project: 12,000 apartments for resettlement be built

On November 21, the Investment & Construction Authority for Thu Thiem new urban area gathered in a meeting chaired by Mr. Le Hoang Quan-Chairman of People’s Committee of Hochiminh City. According to a report of People’s Committee of District 2, 6,400 (or 41%) of the total of over 15,500 dossiers of compensation have been cleared with 55% of the total area of 690ha reclaimed by mid-Nov. 2007.

Chairman of People’s Committee of Hochiminh City - Mr. Le Hoang Quan has recently chaired a meeting to settle concerns relating to the implementation process of Thu Thiem New Urban Area Project. Thu Thiem New Urban Area is a project of mammoth investment. However, land clearance and compensation was of stagnant progress during the past time. Chairman Le Hoang Quan has guided the competent departments-agencies and local authorities to push the progress. |
